I would like to take an opportunity to introduce myself as a tutor and after school homework help provider in your neighborhood.  My name is Rashida and I have started – Eduscribe, LLC- offering tutoring, test prep, homework assistance, and after school/extended care. 

Let me tell you a little about myself. First of all, by profession, I am a teacher.   Initially, I started working in day care and Montessori centers while I was working on my degree in Education/Child Development.  After graduating, I started my career in teaching.  I have taught elementary school in school districts in Sacramento, CA and Hayward, CA.  Over the years, I have taught multiple subjects, specifically: math, reading, writing, and science. Along with teaching, I have over 5 years experience tutoring elementary through college students in multiple subjects – specifically in Reading and Writing.   

For the last 4 years I have been writing test questions, as an independent contractor, for State Achievement Tests (McGraw Hill, Digital learning and other test writing companies).  This has given me a thorough understanding of the way test questions are phrased and what common errors are expected from students. This experience and knowledge, has allowed me to effectively prepare students for standardized tests. 

Working with students has always been my passion.  Every child is unique.  With the uniqueness of each child comes different teaching and learning strategies.  My philosophy has always been to approach each student as an individual and use what ever strategy that fits the uniqueness.
